RTG’s Mystery Bonus Online Video Poker Review

Mystery Bonus online video poker was developed by Real Time Gaming and is a variant of video poker that is much like the Jacks or Better variant but it comes with an additional feature to set it apart from the standard video poker game. The game comes in a single hand version as well as multi-hands including three, ten, fifty to or one hundred hand versions.

The Mystery Bonus feature of this online video poker game consists of a mystery hand that may be matched to the dealt hand. The feature kicks in before each game begins and before any cards are dealt. It is not compulsory to play the bonus feature but if it is played and a poker hand is won then a pay-out is awarded for the regular winning poker hand as well as a bonus multiplier for matching the mystery hand.

How to Play Mystery Bonus Video Poker

Mystery Bonus online video poker begins with bets being placed. Anything from one to five coins may be bet on each hand with the coin sizes varying in value. The coin sizes include 0.05; 0.25; 0.50; 1.00 and 5.00. A bet one button and a max bet button are used to place the desired bets.

If the bonus feature is chosen, the Mystery Bonus reel that is displayed on the right side of the screen will spin and result in a random winning poker hand combination. The aim is then to match the winning poker hand combination to receive a pay out and a multiplier.

The online video poker game is played with a standard fifty two card deck of playing cards which are shuffled after every deal. Five cards are dealt at first and the aim is to match any poker hands to the mystery hand or get as high a possible poker ranking hand.

Any of the initial five playing cards dealt may be held or discarded. The discarded playing cards are replaced on the final deal and any winning combination or match to the mystery hand is paid out for.

Mystery Bonus Video Poker Pay Outs

The Mystery Bonus online video poker hands are the same as those in Jacks or Better. The highest ranking poker hand is the royal flush that pays out the maximum jackpot prize of 4 000 on a five coin bet. Four, three, two or one coin bets pay out 1 00, 750, 500 or 250 respectively.

The four of a kind hand ranks at number two with pay outs ranging from 45 to 200 for one to five coin bets. Next up in the poker hand rankings from most valuable to least is the full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair and jacks or better. Jacks or better is the lowest paying Mystery Bonus poker hand in this online video poker game with pay outs ranging from 1 to 5. The pay outs in between range from 2 to 25 depending on the specific hand held and the number of coins that were bet.
