How to Do Homework Fast: Effective Instructions for Dummies
Want to get done with your homework in time to catch that new episode of your favorite show? Or maybe you have an after-school job that takes up a lot of time, leaving you stressed out when it comes to schoolwork. Or, you just hate homework and want to be able to get it done as soon as possible so you can relax after school! Whatever your reasons, here are some great ways to make homework easier and faster:
- Pay attention in class. Your homework is based on what you learn throughout the day in school. If you spend your day goofing off and not taking notes, your homework is going to be much harder to finish. You have to sit through class anyway, and your after-school time is your free time, so it makes sense to pay attention in class so you can do your homework faster and have more time to spend on you!
- Figure out where most of your time goes when you’re doing homework. Check the time after each assignment and see how long it took you. If you zip through math but it takes you forever to read a chapter in your history textbook, you’ll know exactly what is taking so much time and address the issue. It may be you need a little extra help in one of your classes, so you should ask your teacher about staying after school for tutoring or extra help. It might seem like a bummer to stay in school for an extra half hour or so, but if it helps you get through your homework in record time, it’ll be worth it! If most of your assignments seem to take a lot of time no matter the subject, consider your study habits. Do you get distracted a lot and stop working to daydream or watch TV? That’s sure to slow you down! Once you can target what it is that’s making homework take so much time, you can fix the issues.
- Find a study buddy. Find a friend who is as dedicated to doing their homework quickly as you are, and help each other keep on track. You’ll be able to notice when the other person gets distracted, and remind them to get back to work, and they can do the same for you! Make sure you pick someone who won’t just want to talk the whole time; that will certainly not get you any closer to your goals!
